• Added the possibility to Drang and Drop folders on UnUU : If the "trash processed chunks" preference is set, UnUU will process the folder content as well as all the content of any nested folders (regardless of deeply they are nested). Otherwise (i.e. if the "trash processed chunks" preference is not set), UnUU will only process the imediate contents of the folder and ignore any nested folders.
• UnUU can now use temporary memory: in previous versions, if you tried to process large chunks, UnUU would fail unless you had allocated it enough memory (i.e. more than the size of the chunk you were trying to process). Now, UnUU is capable of grabbing free memory in order to process large files - the temporary memory is only used during processing.
Version 1.8.1
• Improved line discrimination.
• The processed .uu files are now renamed according to the name of the (last) archive they contained;
• Eliminated any potential conflict with duplicate names: UnUU now renames files and folders.
• Changed my mailing address.
Version 1.8
• The "normal" algorithm has been entirely rewritten: it handles errors much more efficiently. No error messages will be generated anymore, except for system errors which are still fatal.
• Extracted files will be opened only if they are complete; if UnUU does not have all the chunks that make up a file, it will process them, but it will not open the resulting file.
• The "smart" algorithm has been made insensitive to isolated lines.
• New smart decoding algorithm activated if you press the option key while processing the files.
Version 1.6
• You can now ask for the processed files to be moved inside a folder named after the created file. This folder is itself in a folder named "Done" (you can change the name of this folder with Resedit). The "Done" folder is in the same directory (-folder) as the uu encoded files.
• There is now a preferences menu, allowing you to customize UnUU's behaviour.
